Flying colt Smoken Ace has drawn inside favourite Timmy Rictor in Saturday’s $20,000 semi-final of the IRT Breeders Crown series.
The winner of five races for the Kyle Marshall Racing stable, Smoken Ace ran second to Timmy Rictor in the heat of the feature for 2-y-o colts and geldings, but after drawing wide at the mobile start.
Smoken Ace will be driven again by James Herbertson in Saturday’s semi-final at Melton.
The series culminates in a grand final in late November.
Smoken Ace has been impressive in his career to date, earning A$38,650 from his six-race career.
