Five-race winner Smoken Ace has drawn the outside lane in Wednesday’s $10,000 heat of the IRT Breeders Crown for two-year-old colts and geldings.
The unbeaten colt will be driven by James Herbertson in the second heat of the feature at Bendigo.
The series culminates in a grand final in late November.
Smoken Ace has been impressive in his career to date, earning more than A$37,000 from his five victories.
Since his last win, at Melton on September 23, Smoken Ace has been kept ready with barrier trial wins at Melton and Cranbourne.
