Unbeaten youngster Smoken Ace to face big guns in Breeders Crown

Five-race winner Smoken Ace has drawn the outside lane in Wednesday’s $10,000 heat of the IRT Breeders Crown for two-year-old colts and geldings.

The unbeaten colt will be driven by James Herbertson in the second heat of the feature at Bendigo.

The series culminates in a grand final in late November.

Smoken Ace has been impressive in his career to date, earning more than A$37,000 from his five victories.

Since his last win, at Melton on September 23, Smoken Ace has been kept ready with barrier trial wins at Melton and Cranbourne.

The Breeders Crown has attracted many of Victoria’s best youngsters and Wednesday’s heat has many chances.
