Son Of Mac heads to Auckland’s Alexandra Park on Friday for a $45,000 Group 2 feature.
The bay colt has drawn the second row at the mobile but has been made the third favourite in the early fixed odds market, behind hot favourite Sherlock and second favourite Sinbad.
Trained by the Kyle Marshall Racing team, he will be driven again by Tony Herlihy.

Five-year-old gelding Wharewhiti goes into the third race at the meeting, his first outing in a year.
He’s had a couple of workout wins at hometrack Cambridge Raceway and he’s drawn four in a four-horse field.
