Son Of Mac has extended his unbeaten streak in Australia to four wins with a blistering win at Melton.
His latest win takes the three-year-old colt’s career earnings to more than $100,000, and adds to the hot form of the Kyle Marshall Racing stable.
Since relocating from Cambridge in New Zealand, Kyle Marshall and his partner Sophie Jefferies have led eight winners off Victoria’s racetracks, from only 14 stable starts.
Trainer/driver Kyle Marshall took Son Of Mac straight to the lead and controlled the pace.
With 500 metres to go, Marshall gave the colt his head and he powered to the line with daylight between him and his nearest rivals.
Son Of Mac paid $1.04 for the win and $1.00 for the place at the Australian TAB.
