Last-start winner Son Of Mac will go after his second win on Australian soil when he starts at Melton on Friday night (July 7).
The promising three-year-old won at his Australian race debut when he took out a mile at Kilmore on June 29.
On Friday, the bay colt, trained by Kyle Marshall Racing, is drawn on the second row behind the mobile barrier.
Son Of Mac, the winner of $85,000 from 12 raceday starts, arrived at his new Cranbourne stable with a solid reputation after running second in the Group 1 Northern Derby at Auckland’s Alexandra Park in March.
