Smoken Ace has drawn the front row in Saturday’s $250,000 final of the IRT Breeders Crown Series at Melton.

The colt will go from lane four at the mobile in the feature for two-year-old colts and geldings.

In the heat, Smoken Ace ran second and then backed up with a third placing in last weekend’s semi-final, earning a spot in the series final.

He’ll be driven by James Hertson in the 2240m event, which is the fifth on an 11-race programme.
