Smoken Ace and Ata Rangi will contest full fields at Melton’s evening meeting on Saturday.
In the first race, Smoken Ace goes from lane 5 on the front row, and is likely to be among the favoured runners with bookies.
He’s had a couple of runs out of the money since winning at Melton in mid-March, over Saturday’s 2240m distance.
Smoken Ace has eight wins from 20 career starts, having earned A$77,485 in stakes.

Ata Rangi races in the sixth race, over the same mile distance which gave him a dead heat win last week at the same track.
The gelding came home well to share the line honours, and this time he starts from the pole position behind the mobile.
Ata Rangi is expected to be at juicy odds again, with fixed odds bookmakers rating him a $18 chance when the fields were declared.
Ata Rangi has two wins and eight placings from his 14 career starts, and has amassed A$16,880 in stakes.
