The Roan Ranger will continue his new campaign with a start at home track Cranbourne on Sunday.
The four-year-old gelding lines up over the mile in the second event at the meeting.
The Roan Ranger is shooting for his fourth win after 24 career starts that have earned A$12,000 in stakes.
He started his latest campaign, after a two-month spell, in late October with a sixth placing at Warragul.
