Five-year-old Nicholas Cage has a front row draw for Saturday’s $50,000 Group 3 feature at Melton.
The gelding will be having his second start for the Kyle Marshall Racing stable when he lines up in the opening event, the Hygain 4YO & 5YO Championship.
The race is over Nicholas Cage’s favoured 2240m distance which has produced four of his nine career wins.
He has been racing at Menangle since moving to Australia from New Zealand in December 2023.
After a three-month spell, Nicholas Cage resumed with a fourth-placing in his first raceday look at the Melton track on October 19, 2024.
Nicholas Cage has earned more than A$133,000 in a 33-start career.
