Youngster Fire Marshall will attempt to back up his impressive heat win with a crack at the big prize in Saturday’s $25,000 final for promising two-year-old colts and geldings.
The bay colt finished better than the field to notch his heat win at odds of $44 for supporters in Australia, running the fastest winning time from the two heats.

He’s drawn the outside of the second row in the final at Melton while the other heat winner, Ronnie The Hammer, goes from the outside of the front row behind the mobile.
The lightly-raced Fire Marshall has already earned $5,750 from his first three starts, that include his heat win and a second in his debut at Ballarat.
