KMR team member Ricki Herbert is a nominee for New Zealand sport’s Coach of the Decade.
Herbert, who is the Business Development Manager for Kyle Marshall Racing, is nominated for his feats as a coach of football’s All Whites who went went undefeated through the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals.
The winner will be announced on March 24 at the Halberg Awards in Auckland.

Herbert’s nomination is one of five featuring New Zealand footballing achievements.
Due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Halberg Foundation has elected to put aside awards for 2020 and instead will honour the best in New Zealand sport for the decade 2010-19.
The ceremony at Auckland’s Spark Arena will reveal the judges’ winners in eight categories, with one of those winners then being named Champion of the Decade.
Football will be represented by the 2010 All Whites, coach Ricki Herbert and U-17s women’s goalkeeper Anna Leat who between them carry five nominations.
Herbert, the founder of the Ricki Herbert Football Academy, was the coach of the 2010 All Whites who were undefeated at the FIFA World Cup Finals in South Africa.
