Gutsy Yogi Son holds off late challengers to land back-to-back wins

posted in: News

Yogi Son has won back-to-back races, holding off late challenges to take out a mobile trot event at Warragul.

Driver Chris Alford pushed the four-year-old trotter forward early but a mad dash for the lead forced him to tuck in behind the leading group.

With 900m to go in the race, Alford took Yogi Son to the front, challenging his rivals to take him on.

Led by race favourite Rileys Pegasus, the challenges came but Yogi Son kept going and hit the line first.
