Ruebe Starbuck has landed her third win at Cranbourne with a gutsy run to overhaul runaway leader Bulletproof Kid on the finish line.
Driver Connor Clarke took the inside running from the start, sitting three deep, and patiently waited for his opportunity with the lightly-raced mare.
As they turned for home, Bulletproof Kid had built a good lead and looked every bit the winner.
But Clarke and Ruebe Starbuck stuck to their task and when the challenges came, they fought hard to pull beside the tiring leader, and to take the win on the line.

Ruebe Starbuck now has three wins and a placing from her six career starts, and more than A$11,500 in earnings.
On the Australian tote, Ruebe Starbuck paid $5.30 for the win and $2.00 for the place. In New Zealand, Kyle Marshall Racing supporters earned $5.60 and $1.70 at the TAB.
