A front-running effort has earned Claudys Hero his third career win, and his second at Ballarat.
Driver Chris Alford used the gelding’s gatespeed to take the lead early, and he laid down his intent with a smart 28.9-second first quarter.
The lead didn’t change over the mile, and Claudys Hero won by a margin of more than six metres.
The win takes his record to three wins and two placings from his 12-race career, with earnings of A$14,335.
