Claudys Hero has continued his winning form with a narrow win over the mile at Melton.
Having his seventh start, Claudys Hero was carefully positioned in third place, one out and one back, by driver Chris Alford.
With a round to go, the three-year-old colt was encouraged to go forward and with 400m to go, Alford let him go.
In a three-way finish, Claudys Hero just got the better of his rivals to claim his second career win.
On the Australian tote, Claudys Hero paid $4.70 for the win and $2.10 for the place. In New Zealand, Kyle Marshall Racing supporters earned $4.80 and $1.20 at the TAB.
