Can Be A Ruebe coasts home for maiden win at her home track

posted in: News

Three-year-old filly Can Be A Ruebe has broken through for her first win at the races, comfortably winning over the mile at Cranbourne.

Driver Scott Ewen made good use of her handy draw behind the mobile and took her to the lead.

She controlled the pace and led at the bell, laying down the challenge to the rest of the eight-horse field.

Can Be A Ruebe hit the finish line more than six metres clear of nearest rival Fearless Writer.

She’s now had four starts for a win and two placings, with earnings of A$5,500.

At the top of the straight, Can Be A Ruebe heads for the post.

On the Australian tote, Can Be A Ruebe paid $3.60 for the win and $1.20 for the place. In New Zealand, Kyle Marshall Racing supporters earned $3.00 and $1.20 at the TAB.
